June 2000 - JobShark
UK, the online recruitment company, today announced that
it has joined the YAC (You're Always Connected) Affiliate
Programme. The partnership between the two companies will
allow jobseeking candidates to register for a free unique
YAC Number after filling out their registration details
on JobShark's web site (www.jobshark.co.uk). With a YAC
number JobShark users will always be connected and never
out of touch from potential employers.
YAC
(Yac.com) combines telephone, fax, and voicemail communications
into one free manageable package, allowing the user to
retrieve all communications through their email inbox.
In addition, YAC forwards calls free to the user virtually
anywhere in the world. Some of the UK's top sites have
joined YAC's programme since its launch in November and
as a result, YAC has attracted over 100,000 subscribers.
Max
Butti, chief operating officer of JobShark UK, says: "Since
going live in the last week we have had a remarkably fast
take up of candidates signing up for the YAC package when
they register on the site. We aim to ensure that JobShark
distribution channels are fast and pervasive and with
YAC, the JobShark applicant has the advantage of always
being in touch."
Butti
continues: "As an established player in the recruitment
industry, we know how important it is for our candidates
to always be reachable. YAC allows job seekers to be contacted
on a private number to retain privacy and confidentiality
while looking for a job. With the technological innovations
that have been made on updating the software on our web
site, our partnership with YAC is a logical progression
to the types of services already offered."
Piers
Mummery, YAC's Vice-President of Business Development,
says: "We are delighted that JobShark has joined our Affiliate
Programme as they will benefit from our innovative technology
to deliver a personal communications management service
to their users. There is real synergy in the users of
both JobShark.co.uk and Yac.com and as a result, an opportunity
to offer the candidate unbeatable services. I am confident
that a strategic partnership between our two companies
will effectively leverage both brands. Having a recruitment
site offering such value at no cost to their users is
a new and truly value added user experience. YAC's new
approach to personal communications management is set
to have significant impact on the market and this is already
evident through its 100,000 strong user base achieved
in only six months since its launch."
About
JobShark.co.uk
JobShark.co.uk was launched on 4 October 1999 with the
ambition to be 'the' online recruitment site. Initially
focusing on the IT industry and covering the South East
of England, JobShark has now rolled out throughout the
UK and Ireland, and has expanded into other employment
sectors including telecoms, engineering, education and
legal.
JobShark
is not a bulletin board for jobs or a database of CVs.
Its discerning software analyses candidates profiles by
skills and experience and assesses their suitability for
specific roles which employers are seeking to fill. It
is only when the profile and the employment opportunity
match that the candidate is provided with details of the
role by direct e-mail. The applicant can then decide whether
the company and job appears sufficiently interesting to
send their CV by email to the employer.
Instead
of the percentage of salary charged by traditional recruitment
agencies, employers pay a one off fee for access to the
revolutionary software and database of applicants to fill
their vacancies.
As
for the candidates, they can place their personal profile
on the site free of charge, giving them direct and speedy
access to potential employers. The candidates remain in
full control of their personal information, which will
not be sent anywhere or shown to anyone without their
knowledge and approval, thus ensuring a level of confidentiality
not often available in the recruitment world or currently
on the internet.
About
YAC.com
YAC is for everyone - and completely FREE to the user.
Founded in 1999, Yac.com has the corporate objective of
becoming the central service in the daily management of
personal communications for a seven-figure user base.
Over 100,000 customers have now signed up for the YAC
Service since it was launched late last year.
Yac.com
offers users a free unique personal number (a YAC Number
- which can be acquired through the YAC Web-site www.yac.com)
through which they can redirect ALL their live calls,
voicemail and faxes to 23 countries. These countries include
all of the most popular destinations - the US, France,
Germany, Italy, Spain, Sweden, Japan, Hong Kong, New Zealand
and Australia. Voicemail can be left when a user is unavailable
and then emailed as sound files to the user's inbox. Faxes
sent to a YAC Number are forwarded to the user's email
inbox as a file attachment.
Up
until now the growth of the personal numbering industry
has been restricted by two main problems: price and convenience.
Yac.com has swept away the pricing issue by making the
service free to users, whilst changing the destination
for your incoming phone calls can now be done simply through
a choice of Net, phone or WAP-enabled device. YAC's combination
of free personal numbering, unified messaging and international
call redirection makes its service a unique proposition
in the marketplace today.
The
launch of Yac.com is the most significant change that
personal numbering has ever seen. Just a year ago a personal
07000 number would cost the user/subscriber up to £300
and the caller would pay, for a 20 minute conversation,
up to £10.
Now
anyone can get a single personal number for free from
the Yac.com Website and callers are charged at the J-rate
(comparable to calling a mobile phone).
