Site
Goes Live After Extensive Usability Testing
19th
July, 2000 - Managing your telecommunications has
now become even simpler thanks to the launch of the new
YAC website.
The
new site has been designed to make YAC - the fast growing
unified communications company - even more accessible
by adding new navigation menus, a tip of the day and latest
news sections, an easy to use registration page and an
improved pressroom. The site also has a new section outlining
the benefits of YAC to non-UK users who can run a virtual
UK office and benefit from international call redirection
with the service.
The
Interaction Design Centre at the University of Limerick
carried out usability testing of the new site. A team
of testers were monitored while performing various tasks
within the site and this professional analysis was then
used to improve the development of the YAC website.
Mike
Feerick, CEO of YAC, said: "Our users want the process
of controlling their personal communications to be as
seamless as possible and good web-design is at the core
of providing this. The new YAC website has been designed
with this in mind and I know our users will be impressed."
