Target:
One Million YAC Numbers In Use By Early 2001
31th
May 2000 - Yac.com - the fast growing personal communications
management company - today announced that it has signed
up more than 100,000 users in the six months since its
launch. According to YAC, daily sign-ups are increasing
at an exponential rate and it is confident of achieving
its target of one million users by early 2001.
The
majority of people registering for a free YAC Number have
come from word-of-mouth recommendations and YAC's hugely
successful affiliate programme. Following a second round
investment of US$ 12 million, YAC will soon embark on
a major marketing campaign that is set to boost subscription
even further.
Yac.com
offers users a free unique personal number (a YAC Number
- which can be acquired through the YAC Web-site www.yac.com)
through which they can redirect ALL live calls, voicemail
and faxes. Voicemail can be left when a user is unavailable
and then emailed as sound files to the user's inbox. Faxes
sent to a YAC Number are forwarded to the user's email
inbox as a file attachment. YAC also redirects calls for
free to 23 countries worldwide.
Mike
Feerick CEO of YAC says:
"100,000 users at this stage is a vindication of YAC's
vision and demonstrates that there is great demand for
the Yac Service. This success firmly establishes YAC as
the leader in the personal numbering market, not only
in technical innovation, but also in terms of market share
- now estimated at well over 20%. This is only the beginning
of what we will do."
