With your YAC Number, you have the choice of using one of the following messaging services:
YAC MESSAGE STORE
YAC Message Store allows you to use any touchtone phone in the world to collect your messages. Then, when you have listened to your messages, you can forward them to your email inbox for easy archiving.Message Store is as functional as any conventional phone-based messaging service, but offers additional features that give you more control over accessing, storing, and archiving your messages.
Selecting YAC Message Store
Login to your YAC Account at www.yac.com. Go to the Call Forwarding page. Choose YAC Message Store from the drop down list in "Your Voice Messaging Options". Click SUBMIT.Direct Access
When Direct Access is turned ON, you can collect your messages easily and directly from your mobile phone, just by calling your YAC Number. You don't have to enter your PIN Number.To use Direct Access, click Advanced Features in the "Your Voice Messaging Options" panel of the Call Forwarding page, and make sure Direct Access is turned ON.
SMS Notification
To use SMS Notification, enter your mobile number in the Call Forwarding page (in the space marked "MOBILE"). Then select YAC Message Store as your messaging option. You will now receive a text message on your mobile phone whenever you have voice messages waiting for you on YAC Message Store.Note: In order to avoid unnecessary intrusions, YAC sends just one SMS for each batch of messages you receive. That is, an SMS Notification is sent when you receive the first message in an empty Message Store inbox. Another SMS notifying you of new messages is only sent after you have accessed and listened to your current message(s).
DIRECT TO EMAIL INBOX
Alternatively, you can choose to have all your voice messages delivered directly to your email inbox.Selecting Direct to Email Inbox
Login to your YAC Account at www.yac.com. Go to the Call Forwarding page. Choose Direct to Email Inbox from the drop down list in Your Voice Messaging Options. Click SUBMIT.AN EXISTING MESSAGING SERVICE
Finally, you can choose to have your messages stored on a messaging service provided by one of your other numbers, e.g. your mobile phone answering service or your work voicemail system.If so, we will direct your unanswered YAC calls to the messaging service you select.
Selecting an Existing Messaging Service
Login to your YAC Account at www.yac.com. Go to the Call Forwarding page Choose either WORK, MOBILE, HOME or TEMPORARY from the drop down list in "Your Voice Messaging Options". Please note that, for this to work, you must enter the appropriate number(s) in panel 1 of the Call Forwarding page, "Your Call Forwarding Numbers". Click SUBMIT.© 2000 YAC Ltd. All rights reserved.
